About Us
Our history, vision & mission
A Diverse and Inclusive Community
We believe that early childhood is a unique and powerful time where children’s identities, voices, and capabilities are nurtured through respectful relationships, meaningful play, and purposeful learning.
Inspired by the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF), our philosophy is rooted in the principles of Belonging, Being, and Becoming, and driven by a commitment to Reconciliation, sustainability, and lifelong learning.
Our Philosophy
Our vision is to create a warm and inclusive family environment where educators and families feel inspired to work together in genuine, collaborative partnership. Together, we are committed to providing a dynamic learning environment that supports every child to realise their full potential.
We believe that every child has the right to participate fully in all aspects of our program, regardless of race, gender, age, ability, social background, or family structure. We value the unique strengths and gifts each child brings to our community and celebrate the rich diversity of cultures represented at Heritage.
Our multicultural community is embraced as a source of knowledge, understanding, and connection, enriching the experiences of all. We also acknowledge and value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, identities, and perspectives, recognising their deep connections to community and Country and their unique ways of being, knowing, and doing.
This is our Mission
At Bellarine K4Kids, we are committed to providing high-quality early learning and care through reflection, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Our program is child and family-centred, supporting each child’s unique learning journey.
We believe that strong pedagogical leadership, mentoring, and educator wellbeing create a positive learning community, strengthening relationships and consistency for children, families, and educators.
Guided by the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF) and the Victorian Inclusion Framework, we provide inclusive and meaningful learning opportunities for all children. Play-based learning underpins our curriculum, with literacy, numeracy, and social and emotional development embedded in everyday experiences.
We value diversity and inclusion, celebrating the multicultural perspectives and unique strengths within our community. Families are respected as valued partners and are encouraged to share their culture, knowledge, and aspirations, supporting responsive and respectful learning environments where children feel safe, secure, and confident.
Child safety is central to everything we do. We are committed to maintaining a child-safe environment that prioritises the wellbeing, rights, and voices of every child.
We acknowledge the Wadawurrung People as the Traditional Custodians of the land and are committed to respectfully embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives within our program.
Through partnership and inclusive practice, we support children to develop a strong sense of belonging, curiosity, and confidence to thrive.
