Programs

We provide a nurturing, sensory-rich environment where babies can grow, explore, and bond in their earliest months. Our program is carefully designed to meet the individual needs of each infant, ensuring they feel safe, supported, and loved. Guided by the VEYLDF and the principles of Belonging, Being, and Becoming, our program encourages development through play-based experiences that respect the infant’s pace and promote healthy growth.

Happy Feet Fitness aims to provide an outstanding and valuable service that keeps families and centres well-informed, connected, and excited about every child’s Happy Feet journey.

The program includes over 32 rotating class topics throughout the year. Because of the ongoing rotation, centres can plan future topics into their programming if they so wish.

Additionally, the rotation makes sure that the children get to go on exciting new Happy Feet adventures each week, and the enjoyment of trying something new every week maintains a very high level of engagement.

Sunshine Circles Tuesdays at 12:30pm.

Sunshine Circles® is a group based on Theraplay® principles that focuses on the social and emotional development of children. Sunshine Circles gives children an opportunity to practice their self-regulation skills, co-regulation skills and to feel encouraged to have a go at achievable challenges. Educators lead playful, cooperative and nurturing activities to create an atmosphere of fun, caring, acceptance and encouragement. The goal is to enhance children’s social, emotional and cognitive development.

Children generally embrace the three rules of Sunshine Circles… No Hurts, Stick Together and Have Fun!… and carry them with them throughout the day. Sunshine Circles provides educators with the resources to maintain an emotionally positive and cognitively enriched environment

Sunshine Circles strives to:
• Create an atmosphere that is warm, nurturing, engaging and challenging
• Meet the basic needs of children so they can be freed emotionally to explore their world
• Promote warm relationships between children and adults and friendships among peers
• Engage hard-to-reach children
• Bring fun and exuberance into the lives of children
• Place emphasis on cooperation between children
• Encourage children to learn and practice self- control

Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden

At Bellarine K4Kids, we proudly incorporate the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation program into our curriculum, providing children with hands-on experiences that connect food, learning, and wellbeing.

The Kitchen Garden Program introduces children to growing, harvesting, preparing, and sharing fresh, seasonal food. In an early years setting, this is adapted to be play-based and sensory-rich, allowing children to explore gardening, cooking, and sustainability in a safe and engaging way.

Through this program, children develop practical life skills, confidence, and an understanding of where food comes from. It also supports teamwork, communication, and a sense of responsibility, while fostering curiosity and respect for the natural environment.

By embedding the Kitchen Garden philosophy into our everyday practices, we encourage healthy eating habits, sustainability awareness, and a lifelong connection to food and nature.
